Pin It to the List

Pin It to the List

If you’re working in MS Office 2007, I’m sure you’ve found your Recently Used File list, which is now located within the Office Button.

It works the same as it did in older versions of Office. It’s still quick and it makes it easy to access the files you’ve recently used the most.

Often times, your most important files are listed there, because you’re constantly using them. But what if there are one or two files you want quick access to, even though you only use them every so often?

Well, in Office 2007, there’s a new feature within the Recently Used File list that can solve that problem with just a single click!

If you look to the right of each file name on the list, you’ll see a push pin icon.

Click on the push pin to “pin” the file to the list. The push pin will then change to look like this:

The program you’re using will then keep the file on the list, regardless of when it was last used.

As you might expect, to unpin the file, simply click on the push pin again.

That’s all there is to it. Just one click keeps your most important files right on hand!
