Message Sling

Wouldn’t it be lovely if you could get the voicemails from your cell phone online? I mean, it would be perfect if your battery happened to die while you were checking your messages. That happens to me all the time!

Well, with Message Sling’s free service, you can send and receive texts via simple voice commands. You can also save, store and forward your messages with ease. And best of all, it works with most major carriers!

Registering is easy! Just click on the Sign Up button. The registration form requires your name, e-mail address, cell phone number, a pin number, your carrier and a password. Once you’ve filled everything out and you have agreed to the terms of service, you can click on the Sign Up button again.

Now, you’ll receive instructions on how to set up your cell phone for service. It can differ by carrier, but it’s really easy. All you have to do is put in the number they give you and hit the Call button. Within seconds, you’ll have a text from the service letting you know you’re good to go!

When you receive a message, the service texts your phone to let you know the number that called. You can then check the voicemail by either getting on the Web site or by calling your Inbox with the number they gave you when you signed up.

On the site, you’ll sign in with your phone number and the password you created during registration. You’ll be logged right in to your Inbox where you can retrieve your messages.

There’s a menu on the side of the Inbox where you’ll find the My Account section. If you go there, you can set up your voicemail greeting. Just scroll down to the Greetings area to record your message.

To do so, just check the box next to “Record a Default Greeting.” That will bring up the record box. Click on the Record button and start talking. When you’re done recording, you can play it back to make sure it’s what you want. When you’re ready, simply click on the Save Changes button.

I’ve fallen in love with this Web site and I think you will too!
