Remove E-Mail Address On Live.Com

Laurie from United States writes:

I have some unwanted/incorrect e-mail addresses in my contact list in my Live.com account. I have looked for ways to delete entries, but I can’t seem to find anything except “edit”. How do you remove an e-mail address from the contact list in this case?

Answer:

The easiest way to remove a contact from your contacts on live.com is to log on to live.com using your web browser. Once logged in, hover your mouse over “Live E-mail” and click on “contacts.” If you are using Outlook on the web, click the down arrow next to “Mail” and click “People.” Once there, select a contact name on the left and then click “Delete” on the top bar.

  1. This is the first time I am disappointed with one of your tips!

I just tried this tip out as I thought how could this be so silly an issue to resolve. No one is going to miss such an obvious delete button. Then I had a look at my own account. Clicking on a number of contacts did not display a delete button! I had to try a number of entries before I found someone who did display the delete key.

I think the issue is that I have connected my Gmail email account and my Live email account. The Gmail contacts cannot be deleted from the Live account (there is no delete key displayed for for Gmail contacts). I believe that the lady you are trying to help is probably experiencing the same problem.
