iOS – Access Project Gutenberg

We’ve talked about Project Gutenberg before here at Worldstart. It’s a repository for hundreds of public domain eBooks, like Alice in Wonderland, works from Mark twain, Shakespeare – and a whole bunch more! There are even new authors putting their work on Project Gutenberg for the exposure!

So, how do you access this wonderful, literary treasure trove on your iDevice?

It’s pretty easy. First find iBooks and give it a tap. Once in, you’ll want to click on Store in the upper left-hand corner.

Now, in the search box, which is located in the upper right-hand corner, type in Project Gutenberg and select your result from the drop-down menu.

It’s a simple as that!

Now, don’t tell me you’ve got nothing to read!

  1. Project Gutenberg is pure gold. It has the most rare esoteric material that I’m astounded that it was considered for digitising as so few would be interested, in such works as for example: ‘The Philippine Islands 1493 – 1803’ which has the translations of the Demarcation Line negotiations between Spain and Portugal on the division of the world – just fascinating – lawyers would find it instructive!
