I love finding new ways to explore music. My tastes in music have changed over time and while I still love the stuff I listened to growing up and as a teen, I’ve added a ton of music to my library.  So I was ecstatic when I found this site and could find even more artists and bands that share similarities with some of my favorites.

How does it work? Well, all you have to do is type in the name of a band or an artist that you like in the blank text box and then click the Continue button.  This will generate a music map. The closer the artist or band is in location to what you typed in the more similar they are.

The map created is just a web of artists and bands, if you click on one of the names you’ll be taken to their map, where you can find more music that is similar to that artist.

For example, I’ve been loving the artist Daughter lately, so I typed that in as my starting point, from there I discovered Gabrielle Aplin, and from there I discovered Gabriel Kehane, and the last stop on this example is The Tiny that I found by clicking Gabriel Kehane.

The only added thing I’d like would be a way to get to the music directly from the page, but I’m greedy and want it all at my fingertips. I easily found all the artists on YouTube. And I’m sure a simple search will stand you in good stead for that as well.

Go and discover some new music today!
