I recently started receiving emails from “me”. To: Daniel_B_Acosta@hotmail.com. From: Daniel_B_Acosta@hotmail.com. How can this happen? I am currently using “Outlook.com”. Any input? Thank you!
Most likely someone who has you among their e-mail contacts has a virus on their computer. That virus is sending lots of spam and it has randomly chosen your e-mail address as the sender. It is probably sending spam with you as the sender to plenty of other people as well.
This doesn’t mean you have a virus on your computer. And there’s not much you can do about it. Though as a precaution it’s a good idea to make sure your anti-virus is up-to-date and if you have any reason to believe your Outlook.com account has been compromised, change the password.
