I have windows 7 as my OS; Is there an easy way to recieve my e-mails [currently using g-mail] in outlook/outlook express? I use Outlook at work, and like the layout [probably since i’m using it all day :)]. I’d appreciate any help you can give me. I really enjoy your newsletters.

If you, like Ray, want to configure Microsoft Outlook to receive and send your Gmail e-mails, then you shouldn’t worry – it doesn’t take a lot of time and is very straightforward. All you need to do is follow some simple steps.
The first thing you’ll need to do is change some settings in Gmail. To do that, open your Gmail inbox, click on the Settings icon underneath your name in the upper right-hand corner, and select Settings.

Gmail Settings will open. Now you need to click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP, select either Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on, and click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

Now that you’ve enabled POP for your e-mails, you need to configure your Outlook e-mail client to receive them properly. Here is how:
Open Outlook, click on Tools in the menu and go to Account Settings…

A new window will open. Go to the E-mail tab and click on New…

new email

Another window will open where you should select the Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP radio button, and then click Next

add email

Enter your name, your email address, and your password, and click Next

That’s all it takes! You can now read your Gmail e-mails using Outlook.
