E-mail Encryption 101: Part 2 Installation

E-mail encryption can be a valuable tool to protect your privacy. In part 1 of this series, we discussed what e-mail encryption is, how it works and where you can download a program to help you get started.  If you haven’t read part 1 yet, go back and look it over. We had downloaded GpG4win and were ready to begin the installation by clicking Install.

During program installation a pop-up window appears asking you whether you want “Claws mail” which is associated with the GpG4win installation to be your default email program, unless you want to change your default e-mail client,  hit  the “No” button to continue. *Please note I am use Outlook 2010 as my email client during this tutorial.

When the installation complete press the “Next” button to continue.

Final window appears after finishing the installation asking you if you want to view the readme.txt file.

And you are done with installation!

In part 3 of our series, we’ll look at how to create a certificate.
