Where Can I Find That Wallpaper?

I allow my granddaughters to use my computer and we all agree that we love the wallpaper we saw in the article about the Windows Charms bar. (attached is a screenshot.) I have combed the Internet looking for similar wallpaper. Please advise.

Jeorjette, that’s actually the wallpaper from my own personal computer. The reason you haven’t found it is that you are looking too far and wide. It’s one of the wallpapers available for Windows from Microsoft. Finding it is simple.

Right-click on your desktop and choose Personalize.

Under Themes, choose Get more themes online.

You’ll fine a large variety of themes to choose from, including Nature, Art, Holidays and Animals. This is a great place to find beautiful wallpapers that are free of viruses.

The theme you liked is found under Art (Illustrative) and is called Nicole Doll. I chose it because it reminded me of the Blythe doll I played with in the 1970s.

Just click on Download.

I hope you don’t mind if I put in a shameless plug for Steve’s Backcountry Gallery. You’ll find some wonderful nature photography wallpapers there.

You can also check out this article on making your wallpaper a slideshow of favorite photographs.

Enjoy!

  1. I just wanted to remind everyone of a Windows (probably MAC too) program called John’s Background Switcher. You can put in search criteria and have your background change periodically. Always a fresh and cute background like Nicole there. It is not my program and I don’t know the man who maintains it so this is not an advertisement. (I just like it).
