I myself have Windows 7 but still have friends who have XP. Is this on the up and up? Thanks.
Note that it says “Making XP as safe as it can be.” That’s not safe at all if you are online no matter what third-party security you use.
This package is no safer than using any other security software because all third-party security software have one thing in common: Microsoft is not providing the information necessary about the basic programming level of XP to patch vulnerabilities. In the past, Microsoft security experts created patches for the problems and shared them with security companies. Microsoft’s security team no longer works on patches for XP.
This company installs an anti-virus and malware with a one-year subscription. They also install Google Chrome on your computer to use in place of Internet Explorer. That is safer than using no ant-virus and running IE, but not much. Plus, you can do all of that yourself for free or at a lower cost. It is not fraudulent as far as I can tell. If they do install the software and Google Chrome, they kept their promise. That promise was to make XP as safe as it can be. That’s not very safe.
If you want to keep XP safe, keep it offline.
