Adware is a type of malware which displays advertising, pop ups and can get quite annoying when you are trying to use your browser. Adware is usually packaged with freeware, and free downloads and can be very difficult to get rid of. In previous articles I showed you how to remove it from Internet Explorer and Firefox. Today, I’ll look at how to take care of the issue in the Google Chrome Browser.
Chrome works similar to Mozilla Firefox in that you can remove adware extensions individually. In Internet Explorer, you can only remove all the extensions or keep all of them (you aren’t given an option as to disabling individual extensions).
It’s very easy to disable adware in Chrome. Here’s how you can do it.
1. Open Google Chrome either from your Desktop or Start Bar. Double-click on it.
2. Click on the Options button in the top right corner. The icon looks like three lines stacked on one.
3. A drop-down menu will appear. Click on the “Settings” option.
4. A settings window will open. On the left, click on the button which says “Extensions”.
5. Look at the extensions which are installed, and find the extensions that look like adware. If you find that there are extensions which you did not download intentionally there, you need to remove them. Look for names such as “Adverts”, “Optimizer”, “Deals”, and “Coupon”. These words are usually included in the names of adware extensions.
6. Click on the trash icon for that extension. That adware extension should be deleted from your browser.
7. Close your browser and then, re-open it again.
Hopefully those annoying pop-ups will be a thing of the past.

You should actually list the names of known malware. It would really be helpful if you could recommend several reliable Malware, pop up, trojan and redirect removers. Search for such on the internet gets you more of the same you are wanting to clear. There is surely a program good for 2 or 3 household computers at a reasonable cost.
There is one that masquerades as a MS program purchase and is very hard to leave and it keeps the page and a new window open.
