No, you can’t change her name. She’s very important to Microsoft. Cortana is named after a character in the popular and highly profitable Halo games. Cortana is an artificial intelligence who helps save the galaxy. While she’ll call you whatever you like, you’ll have to call her Cortana. Cortana is pronounced like “cortex” – kor-tah-nah – similar to names like Rhianna and Brianna.
While no one wants to mispronounce their new assistant’s name, I think you probably have a pretty decent range in which she’ll recognize that you’re talking to her.

OK! Keith, now when you ask her for a date, you will at least pronounce her name right.
I am looking forward to making he aquaintance a little later in the future. I will probably enjoy her as-much-as I do the helper on the iPhones.
The pronuciation guides are no good – there at least 2 ways with the 2 examples given
– …anna or …arna long or short a.
Why not just ask her how she would like you to pronounce her name?
