Activity Power Bands/App Produce Results/Food Donations

You can be a Force for Change and get kids in gear for a great cause. Get one of the world’s first wearable-for-good activity trackers – the UNICEF Kid Power Bands! Users can go on missions, earn points and unlock therapeutic food packets for severely malnourished children around the world.

While participating in the program, kids wear UNICEF Kid Power Bands, which measure their activity while they are moving. Physical activity unlocks Kid Power Points – the more they move, the more points they earn. Kid Power Points are converted to funding by partners, and funds are used by UNICEF to deliver lifesaving packets of therapeutic food to severely malnourished children. The bands are water resistant, but not water proof.

This special app is designed to resemble a global passport, with a travel log for mission-related content including digital postcards and passport stamps. The UNICEF Kid Power App is included with the purchase of the band, which is currently available at Target including the white colored Star Wars Limited Edition band.

For each UNICEF Kid Power Band purchased in US Target stores and target.com until the end of this year, Target will donate $10 to United States Fund for UNICEF.

In its current phase, Star Wars: Force for Change is collaborating with UNICEF to benefit Kid Power in this innovative new program, which currently has over 126,000 members who have earned over 7,500,00 Kid Power Points and have unlocked more than 581,000 real-life relief packs.
