It’s certainly no secret that for more and more folks out there, their smartphone is their primary camera. Samsung has kept that in mind with improvements to the camera on their new Galaxy Note7 phablet (phone/tablet).

There’s a brighter F1.7 lens that makes for much better low light photos plus the larger 1.4µm pixels mean that action shots will look better. The rear-facing camera is 12 MP while the front-facing camera is 5MP.

Like most smartphone cameras, you’ll get decent automatic shots. With this device, you can choose the Pro mode to control the ISO, Shutter speed, Exposure, Color tone, White balance, and Focal length which allows photographers with a little bit of know-how to get some spectacular shots.

You can even adjust the focus AFTER the shot is taken using Selective Focus.

The 4K video capability means that you’ll be able to take movies that look great on your phone and also on your big screen HDTV.
Samsung shows off some great photos taken with the camera on their website and it certainly looks capable of taking some spectacular shots.

Plus, the Note7 allows you to add up to a 256 GB MicroSD card. So you can store a whole lot of photos.
