Pokemon Go Doesn’t Help Nintendo’s Bottom Line

Initially, some investors thought the huge success of the Pokemon Go app would translate into big profits for Nintendo, the company that owns the rights to Pokemon. The company lost almost $232 million so far this year and their quarterly sales fell by nearly $600 million. Poor sales of the Wii U and the 3DS game devices are hurting the company. Right now they are pinning their hopes on the upcoming Pokemon Go Plus device that alerts Pokemon Go players when there are Pokemon to catch.
