This week, I’ve had a lot of questions from new Windows 10 users about how to adjust the time before your PC goes to sleep or locks the screen. Some of you find it really annoying to have to re-enter your password. Fortunately, it’s an easy fix.
Start by typing Power and sleep setting into your search box. Then click on the result.
This screen will open in Settings.
Under Screen, you can adjust how long it takes before the screen goes dark when not in use. You can have different settings for when your PC is plugged in and for when you’re running on battery power.
Click the drop-down arrow in the box and select between 1 and 25 minutes.
Below that you can change the time it takes before your PC goes to sleep when not in use.
Again, just click the drop-down arrow to select the time.

I have gone over all these settings in Win 10 and set all to NEVER because my Toshiba will cut off or go to sleep within 1-2 hours always. I have to push the power button each time. My old OS 7 & 8.1 would come back when I moved the mouse. Now I have to push the power button, wait and put in my pass code again.
Hello. And Bye.
