You may have noticed that when you click the File Explorer icon in Windows 7, it opens to the Libraries folders for Documents, Music, Pictures, and Videos.
This default setting is fine for most people, but if there’s a file you need to access frequently, you can change this setting.
Just right-click the explorer icon on your taskbar.
Then right-click Windows Explorer on the menu and choose Properties.
You’ll need to click the shortcut tab at the top. Now we’re going to edit the Target field.
You’ll want to copy and paste this: %windir%\explorer.exe c:\Folder
But you’ll substitute the name of the folder you want to open for Folder. In this case, I substituting a folder called Coolsite2016. Then click OK.
When you restart Windows Explorer it should open to that file.
