Facebook is bringing Instant Games to the Messenger mobile app. You’ll now be able to play games with your friends and compete for the best scores.
To play, open up messenger on your phone and create a new message. Then tap the game controller icon.
You’ll see a list of games. To start with there are about 20 games to choose from. Those games include Pac-man, Words with Friends Frenzy, Space Invaders, Galaga, Wordalot Express, Shuffle Cats Mini, Templar 2047, Zookeeper, and more.
Click on a game to open. You can click the Play Now to challenge the friend the message is addressed to.
In this Pac-Man game, you’ll see the option to Challenge at the top.
You can pick another friend to challenge.
To start the game, just press play.
You play the game by touching the screen.
You’ll be able to see how your score stacks up against your friends.
When you open up Facebook in your browser, you’ll be able to play the same games and keep track of your scores. So for the first time, you’ll be able to play Facebook games across devices with your friend.
There’s a lot of games to explore and it’s free.
