A reader has a question about getting a favorite program for her tablet: “I have Anytime Organizer on my laptop. I wish it was available for download to my Kindle.  Any ideas?”

Often time, favorite software programs have an app version. Unfortunately, in this case, there is no Anytime Organizer app for the Kindle Fire. There are tons of organizer software options for Android tablets, but while the Kindle is an Android-based operating tablet, you don’t have access to the Google Play store, only to the options in the Kindle App store.

One program that performs many of the same functions as Anytime organizer is myBook personal organizer. You can download a free version called myBook Lite to give it a test drive.

It offers many of the same features as Anytime Organizer, including task list, contacts, and calendars.

And make prioritized checklists.

If you like what you see, you can upgrade to the full-featured version for $4.99.

Since you already have Anytime Organizer installed on your desktop, there’s a better solution. Most recent versions of the program sync with Google Calendar. Simply go to the Kindle app store and download Google Calendar. The app is free.

You won’t be able to access Anytime Organizer from your Kindle, but you will be able to check your calendar.
