Need to free up some space on your iPhone or iPad? Your mobile device usually doesn’t have a lot of space. Plus, unlike many Android devices, Apple devices don’t offer the option of adding a microSD card to expand storage. If you happen to have music on your device, here’s a quick way to open up some space. First, you’ll want to open Settings.
Under Settings, choose Music.
You’ll then see the option to optimize storage.
Turn it on.
You can then select how much storage space on your drive you want to allow for music.
Lower the amount of space that you’re currently using and your phone will delete songs you haven’t play in some time from the device and clear up space. Those songs will still be available on iTunes, so you can download them again if you like. Remember, if you delete a song, you won’t be able to access it unless you have a data connection.

Hello. And Bye.
My I-phone 6 does not have this option under music settings.
My iPhone 7 doesn’t either.
My 7+ doesn’t either.
