I’ve heard from a few readers who aren’t too clear on what the term “cord cutting” means. Since we toss it around a lot in various articles on the subject let me see if I can explain it simply.
Cord cutting usually refers to getting rid of cable or satellite TV services. Most cord-cutters then turn to streaming services to view programming on their TV, phone, or tablet. (The cord isn’t completely cut with this option because you’ll still need an Internet connection.)
If you live somewhere it’s possible to pick up an over-the-air TV signal, you could choose just to view broadcast signals available by antenna. Since many stations now offer multiple channels on their frequency these days, you might have quite a few channels available for viewing.
