Windows 10: Live tile weather forecast

I recently explained all about Windows 10 live tiles and showed you how to customize the look of your start menu. (You can click here and here to read those articles)

Today, I’ll show you how to make use of a live tile to keep up to date on the weather. If you open the Start Menu, you’ll probably see the Weather tile. Click to open.

Or find it under “W” under All Apps.

The first time you open the app, you’ll be given the choice between Fahrenheit and Celsius temps. And you can also pick a location.

You can choose to allow your PC to automatically detect the location.

Or type in the name of your location (or any location you want the weather for)

Then choose Start.

The app provides current temps and forecast.

Plus details like sunrise and sunset, moon phase, precipitation, humidity, wind, and UV index.

You’ll also see historical info.

In the Start Menu, the live tile will stay updated showing you the current temp and forecast without the need to open the app.
