Yesterday I showed you how to turn off the proxy server in the Chrome browser on your PC. A proxy server is an intermediary between your computer and the Internet and can block access to some sites or interfere with a VPN. You can click here to read that article.
The process is slightly different when using Chrome on a Mac. Here’s how to do it. Open Chrome, click the three-dot menu icon and choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
When Settings opens, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and choose Advanced.
Scroll down to System and choose Open proxy settings.
Click the Proxies tab at the top. Make sure every box is unchecked.
Then click OK at the bottom.
