A ready is having a problem using the Windows emoji keyboard trick I told you about. (You can click here to learn how that works.)
“When I click on the Windows key plus the period for the little emojis, they come on the screen in black and white. Is there a way to get them in color?”
I checked in with the reader to find out if she was experiencing the issue in all programs or just with one app in particular. It turned out her issue happened when using the IncrediMail email client.
While the Windows emoji keyboard is compatible with most apps you find on your Windows 10 PC, it’s not fully compatible with all apps. IncrediMail is one where you might see a problem. However, though the emojis appeared in black and white on the reader’s end, when she sent them to me in an email, they displayed in full color.
So, if you have a similar issue and the emojis don’t display properly, it may be that the app you’re using doesn’t get along with the emoji keyboard app.
