Do you miss the old Windows File Manager from the 1990s? Now some clever fans of the classic program have made a version available for free in the Windows store. Let’s check it out.
If you’re using Windows 10, just click on the Store icon to open.
Once the store opens, search for Windows File Manager and click on the result.
The app is free, so just click on Get to download.
It should install in just a minute or two. And you’ve got the old-school file manager interface back.
This is a separate program from Windows File Explorer, so you’ll need to open it up using the File Manager Icon from your program list to get this view.
