Paint changes

If you’re a fan of Microsoft Paint, there’s a couple of things you need to know. Paint is the super-simple image editor that comes built into Windows 10.

Microsoft will soon be moving MS Paint to the Windows Store. That means when you buy a new PC or upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10, you won’t see paint on your PC as a pre-installed program.

But don’t worry. Paint will be available in the Windows Store to download and install for free. Users can just click on the store icon and then search for Paint and download for free with one click.

Microsoft hopes users will want to switch to Paint 3D. In fact, if you use Paint at the moment, you’ll see a suggestion to edit with Paint 3D.

You’ll also see a product alert that tells you Paint is moving to the Windows Store. But don’t worry! Paint isn’t going anywhere.
