One of the most common complaints I hear from smartphone users is that their screen goes dark much too quickly when they aren’t actively using it.  Fortunately, it’s a pretty simple fix. Last week, I showed you how to fix the issue on an iPhone. (Click here to read that article)

Today, let’s check out how to handle it on an Android. These screenshots are from my Galaxy S8, but the steps should be fairly similar on any Android phone.

Start by opening Settings.

Scroll down to Display.

Scroll down to Screen timeout and tap on the time shown.

Choose times ranging between 15 seconds and 10 minutes. (That’s what my phone offers. Your mileage may vary.)
