A reader is getting an annoying pop-up:
“How can I stop Avast from saying that Avast is not my browser and prompting me to change with a big window every time I sign in.”
The AVAST secure browser is included with the AVAST antivirus program and AVAST will encourage you to switch to it. Here’s how to get rid of it. Type Apps & features into your search box and click on the result.
The list of installed apps will open.
Scroll down and look for AVAST antivirus. Click on it and choose Modify. Unless you want to stop using AVAST antivirus, in that case you’d choose Uninstall.
When the configuration menu opens, untick the box next to the browser and click Change.
