A warning from Microsoft Security Essentials is worrying a reader:
“I can’t get MSE to automatically scan my computer. When I scan it manually, I get keep getting this warning. Did a quick scan earlier this AM, and this warning popped up again.
As you can see, I have an automatic scan scheduled.”
There are a couple of possibilities. Are you running a cleanup program like cCleaner? It’s possible that it could be erasing the history file of Security Essentials as part of the file cleanup.
Are you also using another security software? It’s possible there could be some type of conflict Security Essentials.
