A reader is having an issue finding folders in her Gmail inbox.
“I’m having an issue now that I’ve updated to Windows 10 1903. On my Gmail page is the area on the left, that used to list all the different folders, but now has just a few at the top because of a big area set up for me to make phone calls! I don’t make phone calls with the computer, how can I minimize that spot, or do away with it completely? As always, looking to you for help. I am using Google Chrome.”
The update to Windows 10 should have zero effect on your Gmail inbox. It’s displayed in your browser and updates to Windows shouldn’t affect that. Let’s take a look.
Try hovering over to the right and see if you don’t bring up a scroll bar.
Scroll down to find what you’re looking for. If you don’t see the full listing for something, look for an arrow next to it and click on it.
You should see the full listing.
To get rid of the chat window, click on the gear icon at the top right of your inbox and choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
Then click on the Chat tab at the top of Settings.
Click on Chat off and then Save Changes.
And the Chat window will be gone.
