I’ve said before that I really like Microsoft Surface devices. Now there’s a brand-new Surface Go that might be worth taking a look at.
The price starts at $399 for Intel Pentium 4425Y with 4GB memory and 64 GB of hard drive space. However, the keyboard is sold separately as is the Surface Pen. Type Keyboard prices start at $69.
If you upgrade your processor and hard drive space, the starting price could go up to $729 depending on what you pick.
The screen is a larger size at 10.5″ with 220 ppi resolution.
Microsoft also promises a longer battery life of up to 10 hours. It’s still a lightweight device at just 1.2 lbs.
The speakers also get an upgrade with built-in Dolby audio. With the Micro SD slot you can add up to 1TB of storage.
The Surface Go comes with Windows 10 in S-Mode. S-Mode only allows you to use apps from the Microsoft Store. You can switch out of S-Mode. But that switch is permanent.
