If your Mac is moving a little slow, you might want to try clearing the caches for all of your programs. Cached data consists of temporary files that can speed up the operation of certain programs or websites. Over a period of time, you can build of gigs worth of data on your computer.
Here’s how to clear it fast. Start by opening the Finder on your Mac.
Once the Finder is open, press the Shift+Command+G keys
This window will open.
Type in ~/Library/Caches
Make sure to type it exactly. Then click on Go.
The Caches window will open.
You can delete the folders individually. Or press Command +A to select them all.
Then press Command + Delete to delete all of the files.
