A reader is having a hard time tracking down a program he’d like to dump:
“I have the program BLUR on my laptop. How can I delete it? it is NOT listed on Ccleaner site where I can uninstall other programs, but this BLUR is not there. I would like it OFF my computer.”
The reason you can’t find Blur listed as a program to uninstall is that it’s not installed on your PC as a program.
Blur is an extension you can add to your browser. You’ll need to remove it there. You may have installed Blur intentionally or it may have hijacked its way along with another program you meant to install.
Let’s look at how to find it. If you’re using Google Chrome, open the browser and click the three-dot icon at the top right.
Select More tools from the drop-down menu. Then choose Extensions.
Find Blur among your extensions.
Then click on Remove.
If you’re using Firefox, open the browser and click the three-line menu icon at the top right. Choose Add-ons from the drop-down menu.
Search for Blur under Extensions
Slide the toggle switch off to disable.
Click the three-dot menu icon to choose Remove.
Thanks a million for the information on how to uninstall the program Blur! Its so easy when one is shown how to do it.
Pete
Yep did all that was required and “Blur” is not listed. How can I disable it if it’s not on the list? I know it’s on the PC because it “thanks me” occasionally for installing Blur.
