The latest version of Windows 10 (2004) means a whole new look and purpose for Cortana.
The Windows 10 virtual assistant has struggled to keep up in popularity with Amazon’s Alexa and Apple’s Siri, so Microsoft decided to make some changes. Let’s take a look.
To log into Cortana, click the little circle next to your search box.

Cortana will open. When you first upgrade to 2004, you’ll need to log back into Cortana.

Just select the Microsoft account you want to use to sign in.

Then grant Cortana the permissions it needs to work.
Cortana will open.

Here’s how it looks.

One thing that’s different – you can move the Cortana window anywhere you please on the desktop. Just click and drag.

You can now also resize the Cortana windows. Just click the corner and drag the handles that appear. Make it smaller…

… or go big. Really big if you like.

We’ll continue our look at the Cortana update tomorrow.
