A reader has a problem:
I have a problem of disappearing icons. Sometimes I find them using the Search. Other times I have to go to my backup and recover them that way.
I wonder if instead of disappearing icons, you’re accidentally ending up in Tablet Mode.
To check for Tablet Mode click on the icon for the Windows 10 Action Center at the far right.
If Tablet Mode is selected, click on it to deselect.
