Uninstall Flash From Your PC

Support for Adobe Flash Player is over, so it’s a good time to uninstall it from your PC.

Flash Player has always been vulnerable to malware, that’s why Adobe decided to pull the plug. But just because support is over doesn’t mean Flash Player suddenly stops working or removes itself from your computer. You’ll need to uninstall it.

Start by typing Add or remove programs in your Windows Search Box. Click on the result.

Under Apps & features, you should see Adobe Flash Player near the top of your app list.

If not, just type it in the search box at the top of the list.

Click on Adobe Flash Player. Then choose Uninstall.

  1. It doesn’t work because you cannot force close Chrome and Add and Remove Programs will not force it to close.

  2. Adobe Flash Player does not show up under Add or remove programs in Apps & features. It does appear as an icon in Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Adjust your computer’s settings. There is no way to delete the program from the Control Panel. The program also does not show up when I try CCleaner. It evidently is hiding in my computer somewhere. Help.
