I love me some squirrels. These entertaining little creatures are found everywhere and watching them in my yard provides hours of entertainment for me and my cats.

This fun site from the National Wildlife Federation offers a guided activity for kids to study squirrels.
It invites them to grab a notebook and and watch for seven squirrel behaviors on a checklist including chatterboxing, treasure-seeking, and climbing.

There’s also a PDF for Nature Notebook you can print off and record the findings in. It’s a fun activity for kids and parents to share.
