There are several keyboard shortcuts that can make Gmail easier to use. To instantly see that list while using Gmail, press the Shift key + ?. This screen will pop up and list the keyboard shortcut.
It pops up as an overlay to the inbox, but you can also choose to open it in another window.

Compose and Chat
- Shift + Esc : Focus main window
- Esc : Focus latest chat or compose
