I subscribe to Norton Security software and overall I am happy with it. One thing I’m not happy with is their deceptive pop-up ads that look like genuine security alerts. This seems to apply there’s an issue with my security.
When you click, it’s an effort to get you to add additional services.
Even when I say I’m not interested, they don’t give up. Their VPN service is a perfectly good product. I just don’t appreciate the way they’re trying to hard sell it to me in a product I’m already paying for.
Here’s how to ditch the ads within the program you’re already paying for. Open Norton. hen click on Device Security.
Choose Settings.
When Administrative Settings opens, scroll down to Special Offer Notification.
Slide the switch next to Special Offer Notification to the Off position.
