Turn your Mac into a hotspot

Did you know that you can turn your Mac computer into an Internet hotspot? If you’re connected via an ethernet cable, you can use your computer to connect your other devices or other people’s computers to the Internet. I guess you could also do it if you’re connected via WiFi, but anyone needing a connection should just be able to connect to the WiFi and leave your device out of it. Here’s how to do it:

Click the Apple icon and choose System Preferences from the drop-down menu.

Then select Sharing.

Tick the box next to Internet Sharing.

In the drop-down menu next to Share your connection from, select Bluetooth PAN. Then tick the box next to Wi-Fi by To computers using.

Name the network, choose the channel and security. Then put in a password and select OK. Users just need to look for the name of your network and enter the password.
