Say Goodbye to This Windows Feature

An upcoming update to Windows will get rid of a feature that’s been around for a very long time. Grabbing a screenshot has long been as easy at hitting the PrtScn key. Tap that, and you will have an instant screenshot.

After tapping the key, all you need to do is paste the shot in Paint, an email, Word, or some other program. The upcoming Preview Build of Windows removes that ability. Tapping PrtScrn will now open the Snipping Tool. You’ll still be able to grab a screenshot, but you’ll have to use the Snipping Tool.

Right now only members of the Windows Insider Program who choose to try out preview builds will see the change. No word on when it will roll out to the public at large.
