Disney is jacking up the price of its Disney Plus and Hulu streaming services.
Starting in October, ad-free Disney Plus will cost $13.99 a month; that’s a 27% price jump. The ad-supported version of the streaming service runs $7.99 a month.
Hulu service will cost 20% for ad-free content. As of October, the price goes up to $17.99 per month. Hulu with ads will still cost $7.99 monthly.
Hulu + Live TV packages are set to go up $7 a month to $76.99, while the ad-free tier will cost $89.99.
However, if you don’t mind ads, you can bundle Hulu and Disney + with commercials together for just $9.99 per month.
Disney head Bob Iger said he believed the company’s streaming products were severely under-priced and the price change reflects their value to consumers.
