A reader wants to limit the amount of information available to the public including their birthday.
Here’s how to change your birthday information or simply make it invisible.
Let’s start by opening your Facebook account. Click on your name.
When your profile page opens, click on About.
Choose Contact and Basic Information.
Scroll down to Basic info and choose the edit icon next to Birth date.
Click on Who can see your birthday on Facebook.
You’ll be able to tell who can see your birthday. In my case, just my friends. If you want to change who can view it, click on Change visibility.
Click on the icon that shows your audience to change it.
Choose between Public, Friends, Only me, or create a custom list.
If you choose Only me, only you will be able to see your birthdate on Facebook. Facebook does require a birthday in order to determine your age but with this setting, no one else can see it. And truthfully, a lot of folks do not use their real birthday with Facebook.
Make sure to click Done to save the changes.
