Save Sound Scheme

Q:
I created a sound scheme for my computer. Is there a way to save it?

A:
Making a sound scheme is a fun way to personalize your computer. You can download wave files of sound effects or favorite movie quotes and use them at start-up, shut, down, when mail arrives–all sorts of things. To find out how, check out this tip…

So, after you create a fun sound scheme, what if you want to save it? Or what if you want to create a new one but have your old one on tap for future use? Well, I’m gonna tell you what to do.

First, go to Start/Control Panel. In XP Category View go to “Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices” then choose “Change the Sound Scheme”. In XP Classic view go to “Sounds & Audio Devices”.

Select the “Sounds” tab. Click the “Save As” button and give the scheme a name.

Do this for each scheme you create.

Now, whenever you want to change the scheme, you can select one from the drop down list.
