All By Itself
If you use Excel to create charts, then I’m sure you’ve noticed that in the last step of the Chart Wizard, you can choose to create your chart on its own page OR as an object embedded in a worksheet with data and other charts.
I’m sure that most of the time we tend to put the chart within a worksheet. That choice tends to give us small, resizable charts near our data.
Sounds great doesn’t it?
But then again, there are those times when you want to print the chart on its own, filling the entire page. Here’s where the regret sets in. “If I’d only chosen to put this on its own page, I wouldn’t have to monkey around with resizing, etc!”
Here’s where I’m certain that you’ll be glad to learn that you can have the best of both worlds.
When it comes to printing that chart, you can choose to print it within the worksheet, as it is on your screen, or you can choose to print it on a single page, filing the entire page as though you had originally created it that way.
You already know how to print the chart as part of the worksheet it’s in, so let’s move directly to the printing it as a whole page.
One simple extra step will get you where you want to be.
To print the chart as a whole page, first click on the chart, then proceed to printing as usual.
That’s it! You’ll find that you get the whole chart and nothing but the chart on your printout!
