For those of you who either live internationally or travel internationally on a regular basis, I thought this would be a great Web site for you! I know I’d certainly use it if I were abroad and needed to have an idea of how much taxi fares were going to be.
Basically, this site will help you estimate how much your taxi fare will be. They boast about having an 85 percent accuracy rating, which, to me, is awesome! So, how does it work?
Well, you can get started by choosing a city from the drop down list. Right now, the supported cities are: London, Barcelona, Madrid, New York, Prague, San Francisco and Rome. Next, fill out the From: and To: fields for where you’re leaving from and where you’re going. Also, if you’re arranging for transport by phone, be sure to check the box next to that option. Then just click Let’s Go!
It will then generate a map that shows your route, as well as, the Estimated Fare table. On that table, you will find the distance you’ll travel, how long it will take and an estimate of how much it will cost. The neat thing about this table is that at the bottom, you can choose how you want to view the currency. How cool is that?!
I hope you’ll save this site to your favorites for when you travel. I know I already did!
