New Release: SeaMonkey 1.1.8
So, tell me, are you ready for yet another brand new update? Yesterday, I brought you Firefox and today, I’m bringing you SeaMonkey! If you use the all-in-one Internet suite of SeaMonkey pretty regularly, you may already know about this, but for those of you who haven’t heard the news, allow me to fill you in. On February 7, 2008, SeaMonkey 1.1.8 was released to the public and it is now available for download. I know most of you are probably wondering why a new update was needed in the first place, right? Well, the SeaMonkey team was able to find and fix several security vulnerabilities and a few other smaller problems that have been lurking around in previous versions. In fact, a lot of the issues go hand in hand with what Firefox updated last week as well. I found a list of seven major problems, which dealt with everything from stylesheet issues to the mishandling of plain text files to Web browsing history concerns to system crashes and so on. Now, if you haven’t downloaded v1.1.8 yet, you should get to it! The SeaMonkey team is urging everyone to start using the new version as soon as possible. All of the older versions suffer from numerous security vulnerabilities and you need to protect yourself. This new release is as easy to use as any other version and it comes with new features you just can’t pass up. To download SeaMonkey 1.1.8, just visit this Web site and click on the operating system you use. Then just follow the install instructions and you’ll be all set.
