I have some good news today for those of you out there who use Gmail! Just a few days ago, Google announced that the Gmail chat program will now support video and voice chatting. That means if you have a Webcam, you can video chat with all of your friends and family who have Gmail too!

Setting up the video chat is simple and free. All you need to do is have your Webcam connected to your computer and then go to http://mail.google.com/videochat. From there, just install the program onto your computer and you’re all set!

Now, when you sign in to your Gmail account, you’ll see a little green camera next to your chat icon. When you’re chatting with someone, just click on the Video and More button to invite them to chat. After they install the program, click on the button to start the video chat. That will put a video screen right on top of your chat box. It’s as simple as that!

Also, if the person you’re chatting with doesn’t have a Webcam, they can still install the program and see you. Enjoy!
