No Inline Picture Option In Outlook.com

Tony from North Carolina writes: You recently explained an easy way to post pictures in the text of Outlook.com e-mails. I am using Windows Vista and I do not have a drop-down option; Pictures inline. Is there a way to get this drop-down item?

When you compose a new e-mail in Outlook.com, you should have an Insert Option with the choice to attach photos or insert them inline.

If you don’t see the option, it may be due to the browser, you’re using. Internet Explorer 9, for example does not display the Insert Pictures Inline option properly. Since you have Windows Vista, you can’t upgrade to Internet Explorer 10. (Vista won’t support IE 10)  I would suggest trying Chrome or Firefox to see if that solves the issue.

  1. My hotmail account had just been upgraded to outlook. There is NO option to insert pictures inline, only as an attachment, or through One Drive, which I don’t use. My browser is Chrome. Quite frankly, outlook is rubbish. I want the old hotmail interface back. Thinking of changing to gmail now. I have been with hotmail for many years, but am angry and upset to have these changes forced on me without user consultation.
