Mother Nature Network serves up daily offerings of environmental news, blog commentary, advice on sustainable living, conservation and social responsibility. These are things that I’m very passionate about, but I have to confess it was the animal articles that lured me in!
I stumbled up on this site through an article there about the 13 ugliest animals on earth, and then spent an hour or two checking out other articles that were linked to it like Meet Bob: Streetcat, Life Saver, Book Phenom. Today, I checked out articles on animals with prosthetic limbs, videos of dogs climbing trees, and zucchini recipes (which I needed for all the zucchini we’ve been eating this summer), then I hit up the latest environmental news.
Okay now that I’ve successfully rabbit trailed you onto all the things that distracted me, let’s talk about navigation. On the main page, you’ll find a navigation strip at the top with the following categories: Earth Matters, Health, Lifestyle, Green Tech, Eco Biz & Money, Food & Drink, Your Home, and Family. And then if you scroll down the page you’ll find all sorts of featured articles, blogs, news, and more.
This site is loaded with tons of great information about the environment, conservation, sustainable living, technology, and practical things you can implement in your own home whether it’s trying a new recipe or making your own soap.
Check it out today!
